The Community West Foundation focuses on basic needs and restoring dignity in the community. They've invested millions of dollars in local nonprofits through grants, particularly those addressing food insecurity, homelessness, and other critical challenges.

Like many non-profit organizations, the Community West Foundation is fueled by its people. And it's those people, both staff and volunteers, who have made the foundation's impact especially significant.

That said, there is a small group of individuals who have gone above and beyond. Community West calls them Life Trustees. These are people who played a crucial role in the foundation's founding and early development. They are individuals who helped establish the foundation's mission and direction, guiding it with their wisdom and dedication.

When Chris Harrington was named Board Chair of the Community West Foundation, he wanted to shine a brighter light on this group. Not only did they deserve recognition, but more importantly, their commitment and dedication would be a inspiration for others to do the same.

Community West recently introduced the Life Trustee Honor Wall, a tribute designed to acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding legacy of these individuals. Although some board members have passed away, many were present at this important event.

Receiving the title of Life Trustee is among the most prestigious honors given by the Community West Foundation. This recognition is reserved for a select group of individuals who have played a crucial role in defining the foundation's mission. Numerous visionary leaders have been part of Community West since its beginning, steering its path with their insight, compassion, and steadfast dedication.
